Posting Difficulties

Dear Friends and Family, Someone has mentioned that they are having trouble posting responses to my blog. Please do not give up, keep trying, I love hearing from all of you and want to stay in touch with you. It is always a good idea to copy and paste your post onto another page so that you do not get frustrated if it erases when technology does not go your way. Keep trying! I want to hear from you.

Morning Laura,
Had a wonderful Mother's Day meal with your parent's yesterday...except for the fact that Megan closed the car door on your mom's finger. But Nurse Linda did not cry....it looks like it hurt tho. Praying for you. Blessings,

Hey Laura,
Are you posting pictures? I for some reason can't see them. I thought someone mentioned the pictures on your blog...maybe I'm wrong. Hope your day is going great! You are in my thoughts and prayers! Love you!

Good Afternoon Laura,

I don’t know if you remember me. I introduced myself to you at church after your brief talk about your mission trip. So, if you can’t picture who I am, we’ll have to wait until November to reunite face to face.

I want you to know that the Holy Spirit has been working in my life to contact you. I feel privileged to share devotions with you in mind. I pray that they are a source of encouragement and inspiration as you face the many trials of your ministry.

True Trust
Bible Reading John 9:1-11
The main passage for the devotion is John 9:3
“Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.” (NIV)

Here is the whole Bible reading. I don’t know if you have a Bible there. I suppose you do. Anyway, you must be tired with your night shifts and short staff. So, I thought I would just insert the Bible reading to make it easier for you.

Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind
1As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?"
3"Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life. 4As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5While I am in the world, I am the light of the world."
6Having said this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man's eyes. 7"Go," he told him, "wash in the Pool of Siloam" (this word means Sent). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.
8His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, "Isn't this the same man who used to sit and beg?" 9Some claimed that he was.
Others said, "No, he only looks like him."
But he himself insisted, "I am the man."
10"How then were your eyes opened?" they demanded.
11He replied, "The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see."
If you didn’t know him, you might think Nick Vujicic has everything going for him. Nick has never had a sore arm. He’s never had knee problems. He’s smashed his finger in a door, stubbed his toe, or banged his shin against a table leg. But that’s because Nick doesn’t have a toe. Or a finger. Or a knee. Or an arm. Nick was born with no arms or legs. Before you feel sorry for Nick, read his words. “God won’t let anything happen to us in our life unless He has a good purpose for it all. I completely gave my life to Christ at the age of 15 after reading John 9. Jesus said that the reason the man born blink was ‘so that the works of god may be revealed through him.’. . .I now see that glory revealed as He is using me just the way I am and in ways others can’t be used.” Nick travels the world to spread the gospel and love of Jesus.
Nick says, “If I can trust God with my circumstances . . . then you can trust God with your circumstances . . the greatest joy of all is having Jesus Christ in my life and living the godly purpose He has for me.”
Can we say that? Can we look beyond our limitations and have the same trust in God that transformed a man with no arms and legs into a missionary for Jesus? – Dave Branon

Lord, shape my life as only You can,
Guiding each day by Your loving plan;
Take what You need and give what You will;
My life is Yours to use and to fill. – Branon

Trusting God turns problems into opportunities.

Dear Father in Heaven,
You are to be glorified. Blessed be thy name. Psalm 103 1 Praise the LORD, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits-
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases
How awesome You are. You are mighty and powerful. We lift our hearts in praise to you.
We are not worthy, Lord. We confess that we fall short of Your glory. But we stand in Your righteousness, forgiven, and with the confidence of eternal life. Thank you, Jesus for forgiving us and loving us so much.
Lord, I lift up Laura to you. She is following in Your steps and sometimes the walk is hard. She is tired and discouraged at times. Holy Spirit, renew her and give her Your joy. Hold her in Your arms and bless her as she continues to minister to the sick, hungry, and dying. Give her Your strength, Your wisdom, Your love.
Thank you, Jesus for what you’ve done and what You are going to do. Amen.
God’s blessings on your day, Laura.
